Similar to the School Workshop activities but presented differently. When asked to visit a site I will stay onsite all day.
Courtier Masterclass
(which can be repeated at different times throughout the day).
Visitors will learn the correct way to greet those of the same or higher status as themselves, how to dress the King or Queen, what was expected from a Courtier and what pastimes the Tudors enjoyed.
Dance Masterclass(which can be repeated throughout the day with the same or different dances each time).
The dances chosen for this masterclass are very simple and give visitors the opportunity to experience some of the dances Henry VIII might have enjoyed at his court;
Sites can choose if they only want The Courtier Masterclass, only want Dancing or if they would like both. When not presenting one of the above I will be free to walk around talking to and engaging with your visitors.
Tudor Toys
(to be run as a drop-in activity).
The toys and games will be set up in a room of your choice and visitors can pop in at any time. I can be in the room, in costume, to explain the games and answer any questions people may have regarding them, fashion or anything relating to the Tudor period. Or if the site has available staff, a staff member can remain in the games room whilst I present Masterclasses or Dance Classes elsewhere. I am happy to discuss the best option with each site.
An Audience with Queen Anne Boleyn
Meet Queen Anne Boleyn who will tell you about life both before and after she became Queen. Hear her life story from birth to it's abrupt end on 19th May 1536 and take this rare opportunity to ask any burning questions you may have.
